Bionap goes green at the fair thanks to a cardboard booth

Bionap Srl chooses a natural cardboard setup to promote its sustainable image at the Nuce&Food-Ing 2015 edition.

The entire supply chain of the nutraceutical and cosmeceutical industry gathered in Bologna on 16 and 17 April to create a stage on which sustainability took centre stage. NUCE, the international exhibition of raw materials for the nutraceutical, cosmeceutical, functional foods & drinks and health ingredients industry, and FOOD-ING, the event dedicated to ingredients for all sectors of the food and beverages industry, were held for the first time at the same time as Cosmofarma Exhibition, the leading trade fair for the pharmaceutical industry, allowing visitors to follow the entire production chain, from formulation and raw materials to sales in traditional pharmaceutical channels.

Bionap Srl is a dynamic company producing botanical extracts from plants and fruits growing in the areas surrounding Mount Etna, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Their mission is to discover innovative active substances with the aim of improving the health and well-being of people worldwide.

The stand design

The choice of a natural setting was therefore a rational choice and in line with the sustainable activism that sets us apart. The exhibition space was therefore set up with white cardboard walls consisting of a very linear base paneling on which large panels were mounted, customised with non-toxic prints showing images of the company and a list of the products it sells. At the ends of the walls are two columns with compartments and shelves for displaying products during the fair. The stand was illuminated by halogen spotlights mounted on the central back wall. Completing the set-up was a reception desk from the Verra series with a laminate top and printed panels and environmentally friendly furniture to welcome buyers and visitors. For the occasion we chose chairs from the Ventina line customised with the company colours and an Otro 80 table with a tempered glass top.

A responsible choice

A natural setting is a responsible choice for communicating one’s image during a trade fair. In fact, trade fairs are important meeting places capable of conveying messages to a very wide audience. But behind all this organisational machinery there is a great use of energy and material resources. Therefore, it is important to strive to make these events sustainable places and lend a hand to the environment. The virtuous path that all companies can take is to opt for exhibition stands made of eco-friendly and recyclable materials that can minimise waste and environmental impact, such as cardboard. But not only that. The choice of finishes also affects the ecological impact of an installation. Cork and glass, Led are all environmentally friendly and reusable materials, suitable for making scenic and environmentally friendly stands.
