A stand for two: sharing space and a sustainable image

How to harmonise rooms with a cardboard layout to reflect common values

Ecomondo- Quartiere fieristico Rimini

Via Emilia 155, 47921 Rimini (Italy)

In a context where sustainability is crucial, the choice of eco-friendly stands for participation in events in which to promote oneself becomes essential to reflect a commitment to the environment that appears authentic. This is even more true if the events to be attended have a central ecological matrix such as Ecomondo during which one not only supports the corporate image, but also demonstrates a solid and conscious commitment to building a sustainable future for future generations.

This is the starting point for the story of the design and realisation of an eco-friendly trade fair stand for a number of customers taking part in the big Ecomondo event.

What is Ecomondo? It is a meeting place that serves as the epicentre of the ecological transition, the square that brings together industry, policy makers, opinion leaders and local authorities to shape the EU’s environmental strategies. This leading international event in Europe and the Mediterranean catalyses technologies and solutions for the green and circular economy. Hosting cutting-edge companies in environmental sectors, from water management to waste disposal, textiles to bioenergy, it offers a complete ecosystem. Ecomondo is a hub for research and innovation, a crucial hub for developing sustainable cities, promoting environmentally sustainable progress globally.

Sydex Pump and PCM Group are leading Italian companies in the production of progressing cavity pumps and share the important mission of leading the industry in the creation of pumps and pumping systems for the treatment of fluids, while promoting the sustainable development of the economy and the planet. Their sustainable vision distinguishes them as innovators, constantly striving to redefine standards and exceed expectations. With a long-established partnership, Sydex and PCM Group have been our customers for years, entrusting us annually with the creation of their stands for Ecomondo. This collaboration symbolises a mutual commitment to the cause of sustainability, demonstrating how industrial excellence can coexist with environmental responsibility.

Design: an elegant fusion of creativity and sustainability

The companies Sydex Pump and PCM Group, faithful collaborators, entrusted us again this year with the design of their stand for the important event, Ecomondo. For this edition, with a space of 64 square metres, we created a unique set-up that emphasises the cohesion of their corporate images and the sharing of a sustainable philosophy.

The eco-friendly stand is designed with two open sides, while the rest are delineated by self-supporting cardboard walls, customised with digital prints and corporate colours. The length of the space is interspersed with beams also decorated with digital prints, supported by columns camouflaged by promotional gadget totems. Strategically placed display cabinets present models of company pumps.

On one of the short sides, a service room is bordered by partition walls, part of which is adorned with natural lichen, adding an ecological and natural touch. A panel in which a TV screen has been recessed further enhances the area. A reception desk from the Losa series, Ortles Plus V high tables with glass tops and lichen inserts, Ortles S Plus high stools, a coffee table from the Lavinia series and Taviela armchairs with cushion-covered seats complete the furnishings.

The atmosphere is enveloped in acid green carpeting, which brightens up the room and gives it a fresh touch. The entire design is aimed at creating a cohesive visual experience, reflecting not only the companies’ industrial excellence, but also their shared commitment to sustainability. The choice of environmentally friendly materials such as cardboard and lichen, together with the use of corporate colours, conveys a strong and tangible message of environmental consistency and responsibility, positioning Sydex Pump and PCM Group as conscious leaders also at the trade fair.
