An eco-design for man's best friend

The promotion of quality accessories for man’s best friends lands at the fair with Axaeco and becomes sustainable with a stand made of natural cardboard.

Axaeco is a Swedish company that markets high-quality equipment for active dogs and sled dogs. All their products are characterised by innovative design and technological standards that ensure high performance. The company was just a few days ago one of the protagonists at Zoomark International, the international trade fair of reference for pet companies, from food to pet care and comfort products, from raw materials to packaging to services and logistics.

In line with their sustainable spirit, lovers of nature and animals, they commissioned us at Natur Design to design the exhibition stand made of natural cardboard.

How does a cardboard stand come into being?

How does a cardboard stand come into being? In this case the design was inspired by the location of the company. We therefore envisaged the stand as a structure immersed in a typical Lappish landscape, white expanses of snow, large forests and the tireless running of dogs.

The stand is made entirely of natural white cardboard and consists of a back wall made up of panels that also serve as displays, flanked by a large column that serves to communicate the company. In fact, the outer side was printed with large pictures depicting the life of sled dogs with their companions, a nice attraction for visitors. To add to this, a giant screen was set up, projecting images showing the excellent performance of the products during the activities of the dogs pulling the sled or in their playful activities. Images of snow-covered birch trunks were printed on all the walls of the stand to evoke the cold and fascinating Swedish environment. The floor was covered with a natural fibre mat and a desk from the Verra series with the logo printed prominently on one side was placed. On the opposite side, large cubes serve as pedestals for silhouettes of dogs wearing the company’s products. Finally, ecological cardboard furniture from the Otles and Ortles S line was provided to facilitate meetings with customers

An environmentally sustainable set-up serves to help the planet.

An eco-friendly trade fair stand serves to lend a hand to the planet because no matter how spectacular and incredible trade fairs are, they still have a cost in terms of resource use. Managing every single phase of a large event such as an international trade fair requires a series of actions that affect the ecological balance of our planet. The materials used, the amount of energy used, waste management and mobility cost more than just money. Using an environmentally sustainable set-up has great advantages in this respect. Cardboard is an environmentally friendly material, made from natural raw materials of vegetable origin and completely recyclable. It is processed with modern technology but assembled by hand, saving a lot of energy. The stands are designed to be simply mounted with interlocking systems, thus eliminating the need for hardware, and decorated with non-toxic prints that do not release chemicals into the environment. The furniture is also environmentally friendly and finished with equally natural materials such as glass, cork or lichen.

In short, a machine that revolves around a single goal: preserving the health of our planet while ensuring that our customers have scenic and functional stands that meet their every need.
