iRun steps towards green goals with cardboard shopfitting

iRun is a sports shoe shop beloved by running and athletics enthusiasts in Vicenza, thanks to the quality of its products and the competence of its staff. For the opening of its new store, it decided to focus on innovation and sustainability, with a complete restyling of the interior. The project was handled by “Iniziativa e Impresa Srls“, an interior design company specialised in customised retail fittings and with great experience in creating spaces that reflect the unique style of their customers. For this reason we were contacted by them to create a series of furnishing elements that were at the same time highly original, customised and eco-friendly. Thus, the shop layout was enriched with a series of specially designed goodies: huge lamps made of multilayer cardboard were hung from the ceiling, as well as suspended displays where the shoes offered by iRun could be put on display. In the centre of the room, floor-standing cardboard displays were placed, characterised by cubic shapes with rounded corners: glass shelves were placed above these elements to make them also useful as support points for displaying or laying clothes. Of great impact is the counter chosen for the installation, a solid product, with quality finishes and customised with a high-definition print of the company logo on the front surface. Also for the desk we wanted to highlight the material used, playing with a bichromatic effect that emphasises the recurring design with rounded corners proposed in a havana colour, in contrast with the white that characterises the rest of the element. To finish, a scenographic effect was created by inserting a series of stylised cardboard trees in the installation.

The result is a modern, innovative business that aims to impress customers and protect the environment with eco-friendly furniture solutions.
