An environmentally sustainable stand for General Vending Spa

Vending goes green at Venditalia 2022

An environmentally friendly cardboard display served to represent the green spirit of the General Vending company at the biennial Venditalia 2022.

General Vending is a leading Italian vending company that has been offering vending machine services, hot and cold drinks, snacks and all accessories for the vending industry for over 40 years. Its well-established position in the market is due not only to the competence and reliability of the team, but also to the prestige of the brands it offers, the punctuality of its after-sales services and its extensive distribution network that ensures punctuality and speed.

On the occasion of Venditalia 2022, the most important international event for vending machine operators, which boasts exceptional numbers of exhibitors and visitors, General Vending commissioned us to create a natural cardboard display that would enhance the brand image.

At the origin is the project

And if at the origin there is the project, we start by thinking about the shape the exhibition space will have to have at the end of the process, define the concept, design the idea, think about the opportunities the stand can have and give; in this case we imagined the stand as an equipped area in which to move freely without back walls.

How to welcome visitors? Here, then, is a Losa reception counter on which the company logo with the green and blue colours will be printed in full height and repeated throughout the stand. To enhance the location, a background panel was designed on which a backlit stylised cardboard tree stands out. General Vending is a company that dispenses goodness, so why then place two vending machines lined with cardboard structures behind the reception desk to disguise the machines. Need some privacy? Here, then, are two closed areas at either end that serve as private rooms or offices to welcome customers or buyers attending the event. The interior is decorated with full-wall prints of the company’s products in vibrant colours that create a striking contrast with the white cardboard background from which the whole set-up is made. The rooms have been elegantly furnished with Taviela chairs andOtro 100 tables with etched glass tops. What if you want to enjoy a coffee with the exhibitors in the exhibition area? Small lounge areas are comfortably arranged on the stand with tables and armchairs from the Golliaz line, Ortles stools and others custom-made from laminated natural cardboard and glass. Vertical spaces were also exploited, particularly those on the walls where display niches were created as well as custom-made wall displays to showcase products. Not forgetting the carefully enclosed service areas away from prying eyes. The whole set-up was decorated with inserts of stylised cardboard figures and wall prints made with sustainable technologies.

A green realisation to give sustainable value to the brand

A carton realisation can be green and give a positive sustainable value to the brand. A cardboard display can become the vehicle of a company’s green value because it is the very emblem of that value. Cardboard is a natural, fully recyclable material that emphasises the need to reduce waste and impact the environment as little as possible. The cardboard stands are machine-cut but assembled entirely by hand, easy to assemble and reusable. These are all important elements because they satisfy the increasingly deep-rooted environmental consciousness of consumers and on whose values choices are weighed. A stand made of cardboard allows you to differentiate yourself from the competition, to feel emotions, to nurture memories, to speak more directly to the public, involving the public you come into contact with, but also the business environment you work with.
