Cardboard TV totems are a sustainable and functional solution to facilitate the dissemination of messages during an event.

For SMC Media, a publishing services company, we produced a series of custom-made totems used to facilitate communication during an event organised by the agency in Milan. Smc was founded as a service company specialising in the management and promotion of biomedical research journals belonging to international companies, in cooperation with multinational publishers. Over time, it started to organise conference events to further disseminate scientific research by facilitating face-to-face meetings and expert networks with a special focus on blood diseases. Today, the agency boasts great expertise in event organisation, using modern tools and innovative methods.

The location of a historical palace was an impressive stage that provided a contrast to our totems. In fact, we made very linear structures made up of three pieces assembled together. The reinforced triple-wave cardboard central panel was shaped to accommodate the screen and decorated with prints of architectural details of well-known buildings in the city of Milan. This was flanked by two side columns, one coloured in full colour with different bright shades on which was the name of the advertised location, the other decorated with the negative of images on a white background with descriptive details of the location. The built-in TV set did the rest.

Proof that our natural cardboard solutions are not only environmentally friendly, but also functional and adaptable to all kinds of locations and communication strategies.
