A cardboard labyrinth in Venice

On commission from the Venice Biennale, we created cardboard eco-structures used for the dissemination of cultural messages.

Who has never visited the prestigious international art exhibition organised every two years by the famous Biennale foundation in Venice? Its charm attracts visitors from all over the world to each edition. Since its foundation, it has been at the forefront of promoting new artistic trends and organises events in contemporary arts according to a unique multidisciplinary model. The Biennale is also very active in the work to combat climate change by promoting more sustainable models for the staging and running of its events.

That is why he commissioned us to make cardboard eco-structures used as a support for disseminating messages of social and cultural inclusion. The panels created, with a simple line and left in their natural havana colour, were arranged in one of the exhibition spaces to form a labyrinth. Along its intricate route, images from different parts of the world were posted depicting the most problematic aspects of climate change. Poverty, pollution, ecological disasters. All messages were mainly addressed to a young audience who could thus interact and touch, thanks to equally young assistants who gave the relevant explanations. A large workshop during which each young visitor could express opinions or leave messages. In fact, the outermost part of this labyrinth of cardboard eco-structures was used as a blackboard on which messages of solidarity and reflection could be left.

A realisation simple in its realisation but profound in its conceptual idea in which we participated with great enthusiasm, certain of having made our contribution to the dissemination of positive messages for a better future for the new generations.
