At the Prosecco Superiore festival with an ecological set-up

Ecological furniture was chosen for the setting up of the hall of the Teatro Da Ponte in Serravalle di Vittorio Veneto to celebrate the conclusion of the 18th edition of the Gran Premio Primavera del Prosecco Superiore.

The event organised by the Strada del Prosecco e dei vini dei colli di Conegliano e Valdobbiadene was an eventful one. Alongside the traditional wine competition, two special prizes dedicated to the press and photography were also awarded. The final evening with the awarding of prizes was held in the picturesque setting of the medieval village of Serravalle, whose characteristic streets were illuminated for the occasion by the soft light of dozens of lanterns.

The special patroness of the evening was Padua-born Eleonora Daniele, a well-known television presenter, whose presence offered an opportunity to talk about the great potential that the agri-food sector has in the economic development of specific areas of Italy, where the presence of unique quality products such as Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore Docg can stimulate the wine and food tourism that is so popular with foreign visitors.

Designing with sustainability

Sustainability was the stylistic key to the evening. The stage of the atmospheric Teatro da Ponte was prepared with ecological furniture made of natural cardboard that was chosen for the occasion according to precise criteria. The idea was to achieve the maximum decorative effect by arranging a few pieces to create contrasts and harmonies that would give the stage an industrial touch that blended well with the classic ambience. We therefore opted for our Golliaz series of armchairs with an ecological cushion cover that makes sitting comfortable and natural. The natural havana colour went well with the colours and lights of the theatre and the square shape contrasted nicely with the rounded lines of the surrounding space. The sides of the armchairs that allow a glimpse of the undulating core of the cardboard provided the strongly decorative element we were looking for to break up the solemn atmosphere of the room in a minimal and chic way.

On display outside the theatre were our Tos, China e Rebbio bottle racks, our sustainable solutions for the wine world whose shapes recall elements of common use in the wine world. Versatile, environmentally friendly and functional, cardboard is a material that is suitable for any type of furniture and in any area, including wine.
