Ecobaby is a very important player in the field of environmentally friendly articles for children. Since 2006 it has been promoting and selling washable nappies, plastic-free toys, solid detergents and zero-waste household products.
In short, it is an innovative company at the forefront of the search for natural and sustainable solutions for the world of children, which unfortunately for decades has literally been invaded by polluting, if not toxic, products and toys.
It was therefore a pleasure for us to be contacted to create a new children’s shop designed to make their lives and those of their parents a little greener. We met the team of people behind Ecobaby Store and it was easy to collaborate with them on the design of the shop, also because we share with them the same values and ideas about a future that is more environmentally friendly.
The new Ecobaby® Store has been designed to allow customers to touching quality of washable nappies, wraps and ergonomic supports: many people are familiar with these products because they may have seen them on the company’s e-commerce site, but we wanted to create a place where they could physically see the items, also taking advantage of the valuable advice of the staff. Faced with such a need, it was clear that the result had to be an eco-sustainable store, with cardboard environments and furnishings designed to enhance these products with low environmental impact. We have therefore designed a retail set-up entirely made of cardboard and customized with company logo and colors, in order to perfectly adhere to the Ecobaby branding. Relaxation areas have also been created where children and parents can take a break: the shop is in fact part of the project “Baby Pit Stoppers“, a network of activities that include spaces dedicated to families, such as breastfeeding chairs, play areas and changing tables. All equipped with kettle and microwave (to prepare milk or baby food for children, or an herbal tea for parents!).
But let’s go into detail of the ecological furnishings used to set up this store: as you can see in the photos above there are standard furniture taken from our catalog, such as the Berta and Cerena cardboard displays, the Erpice cash counter and the Saline bookcases. On the walls there are also
cardboard boiserie
, graphically customized with colors and shapes in theme with corporate communication and equipped with shelves, cubic Garnet displays, or hooks to present washable diapers and other small items of the store. Then there are custom-made retail furnishings, designed specifically for this store, such as all the solutions for window dressing, the panels to delimit the “pit-stop” area and the ecobaby logos, also in cardboard and enriched with lichen grafts. Last but not least, cardboard furnishings and toys for children also find space in the set-up, such as the rocking horse, the stools with a table and the tree hanger.
It’s always fun to furnish a shop, but this set-up was really special for us, because seeing parents and children animate the eco-sustainable environments we created with cardboard was a great satisfaction.
