Cardboard retail furniture conquers the Matíc coffee pod shop

This is not the first time we have furnished a pod and capsule shop, but it was a pleasure to put our expertise in ecological furniture at the service of Matíc. This is a young project driven by a great passion for the world of ‘home’ coffee and a profound knowledge of the technologies needed to enjoy a cup of coffee at home. For their shop in Taranto, Matíc’s staff needed to present coffee, espresso machines, teas and infusions. In their intentions, the retail sale of these products had to take place in a colourful and innovative environment and we did our utmost to bring ecodesign into the shop. The main walls of the shop were furnished with a series of shelves from the Saline line, very solid and capacious and customised with graphic prints on the coffee theme. A harmonious composition of Granati modules was also created on the walls: small Granati A units were fixed to the wall, while Granati C units were placed on the floor to create a solid base for displaying boxes and products. A tree-shaped bookcase from the Geri series was chosen for the window display, an ideal solution both because it attracts the curiosity of customers and because it is a perfect piece of furniture for double-sided display, thus clearly visible both from outside and inside the shop (and enriched with prints of coffee beans). Two cardboard checkout counters with high-definition prints of the company logo were then made, to give the right weight to the branding (further reinforced by the ‘flag’ clock from the Oren line, with the Matíc logo, placed right above the case). The two counters of the Losa series were designed with two different purposes in mind: one as the shop’s till and one as a support for the coffee tasting corner. The owners were so satisfied with the result that they decided to double up by choosing to furnish the franchise chain’s new shops with the cardboard furniture (we even created a customised H24 vending machine cover for them).
