As part of an international exhibition hosted by the Korean Cultural Centre, in the heart of Brussels, we designed and created an exhibition display made of cardboard designed to enhance the space and improve the experience of visitors.

The project stems from direct collaboration with the client, with the aim of developing a bespoke solution that combines aesthetics, functionality and sustainability.

A fluid and welcoming exhibition concept

The heart of the installation is represented by a modular bookcase that is semi-circular, designed to define the central space without enclosing it, creating an environment that is open and easily accessible.

The curved layout guides the visitor through the exhibition space, transforming the simple browsing of books into an immersive experience.

To complete the layout, a lounge area with sofas and stools made of cardboard, designed to encourage staying and interaction in an setting that is informal yet well-appointed.

Modular cardboard bookcase: a lightweight and functional design

One of the distinctive features of the project is the design of the bookcase, developed to meet both aesthetic and practical requirements. Constructed without back panels, it allows light to pass through the entire structure, keeping the space bright and airy. Each element has been designed to be easily moved, assembled and reconfigured, ensuring maximum flexibility even in dynamic exhibition settings. The configuration of the modules allows for a clear and orderly display of the books, improving the accessibility and visibility of the displayed content.

A project tailored to an international context

The collaboration with an institutional body such as the Korean Cultural Centre Brussels required a precise project-based and shared approach.

Every element of the installation was developed in collaboration with the client, adapting to the specific requirements of the exhibition and to objectives of cultural communication.

The result is a space that is coherent, functional and representative, capable of fitting perfectly into an international context.

Sustainability and reuse: the value of cardboard

Cardboard is a highly versatile material that is extremely high-performance, capable of meeting complex design requirements.

This project has made it possible to achieve:

  • a lightweight yet sturdy structure
  • a reduction in environmental impact
  • the potential for reuse in future events
  • easy to transport and assemble

An approach that fits into a vision of design increasingly more focused on circularity and towards sustainability.

From design to installation

Our team handled the entire process, from the design phase right through to the on-site installation.

Thanks to an optimised design, the installation was completed swiftly, ensuring precision in the work and a high-quality end result.

A display that showcases the space and the contents

This project demonstrates how a cardboard display can transform an exhibition space into a welcoming, functional and visually striking environment.

The combination of modular design, careful use of light and sustainability has made it possible to create a solution that showcases both the exhibition space and its contents.
